The purpose of our collection is to enable the following:
Manage customer orders and returns.

Fulfill agreements with freight forwarders and other third party actors.
To be able to adapt lampfabriken.com to the customer’s behaviour and preferences.

The legal basis, and our legal obligation, for our data collection of personal data, is because it is required by us in order to be able to fulfill obligations under the purchase agreement. If the information is not provided, our commitments cannot be fulfilled and we are therefore forced to refuse the customer their purchase.

Statutory storage requirements such as accounting rules mean that we are obliged to save information for seven years. Other legitimate reasons why data must be saved are for example unpaid debts. We never process the customer’s personal data for a longer period of time than is permitted by law, regulation, practice or government decision. However, data can be stored for longer if required by the Consumer Purchase Act or the Accounting Act. Personal data is stored and processed in Karlskrona Lampfabrik’s IT system.

In addition to the information that the customer provides for us, or that we collect from the customer as above, we may also collect personal information from third parties in the form of: 1) address information from public registers to make sure that we have the correct address details. 2) Credit rating information from credit rating agencies, banks or information companies.

When someone registers as a retailer/customer with Karlskrona Lampfabrik, they agree for Karlskrona Lampfabrik to use their email address in order to market themselves to the customer. As long as there is consent to the sending of newsletters/marketing material, the information is stored. The customer can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time by contacting us by email or telephone.

The customer has the right to request information at any time about their personal information that is available to Karlskrona Lampfabrik. Should there be any error in the customer’s information, the customer can also request for it to be corrected by contacting us.
In cases where it is necessary for us to be able to offer our services, we share the customer’s personal information with data processor companies. A data processor is a company that processes the information on our behalf and according to our instructions.

We have data processors who help us with: 1) Transport (logistics companies and freight forwarders). 2) Payment solutions (card redeeming companies, banks and other payment service providers). 3) Marketing (print and distribution, social media, media agencies or advertising agencies). 4) IT services (companies that handle the necessary operation, technical support and maintenance of our IT solutions). When the customer’s personal data is shared with data processors, it is only for purposes that are compatible with the purposes for which we have collected the information (e.g. to be able to fulfill our obligations under the purchase agreement). We check all data processors to ensure that they can provide adequate guarantees regarding the security and confidentiality of personal data.

We have agreements with all data processors whereby they guarantee the security of the personal data that is processed and undertake to comply with our security requirements as well as restrictions and requirements regarding international transfer of personal data. We also share the customer’s personal data with certain companies that are independently responsible for personal data. The fact that the company is independently responsible for personal data means that we are not in control of how the information provided to the company is processed. Independent personal data controllers with whom we share the customer’s personal data are: 1) State authorities (police, tax authorities or other authorities) if we are obliged to do so by law or in the case of suspicion of crime. 2) Companies that handle general goods transport (logistics companies and freight forwarders). 3) Companies that offer payment solutions (card redeeming companies, banks and other payment service providers). When the customer’s personal data is shared with a company that is independently responsible for personal data, their privacy policy and personal data management apply.
